He tells riddles, delights in sensory discoveries, and accepts wonder with an almost childlike openness. Beneath that warmth is a man frightened by the knowledge that something essential is always slipping away. Requires tenderness, understated comic timing, emotional transparency, and the ability to move rapidly between lucidity, confusion, frustration, and bliss. His connection with Lady must feel both newly discovered and ancient - as though his mind has forgotten a love his body still recognizes.
